Free or Discounted tickets to performances have been made available to a variety
of community organizations, targeting their youth, such as: St. Peter's
& St. Joseph's Children's Home, Regional School Program for the Deaf,
San Antonio Youth Orchestra, San Antonio Symphony, Guadalupe Cultural
Arts Center, Dance Umbrella, Tuesday Morning Musical Club and the
Jewish Community Center.
Tickets for performances have been donated
to help support local causes such as: Family Violence, Vital Alliance,
Aids Foundation, KLRN Public Television, Ronald McDonald House,
Mission Road Developmental Center, Leukemia Society, YMCA, Police Officers Association and the Arthritis Foundation.
We have also worked with the City of San Antonio's Department of Arts and Cultural
Affairs CORE program and URBAN SMARTS giving children
the opportunity to experience such performances as Warabi-Za; Japanese
Taiko Drumming and learn more about Shakespeare's works by attending
performances held in their schools.
Directly targeting our youth through our "Students and ARTS San Antonio educational
program has annually allowed over 1,500 students the opportunity to experience the performing arts by attending our performances.
We have focused on the following Districts and their schools:
Edgewood I.S.D. - Memorial High School, Stafford Elementary, Guerra
Development Center and the Arts of Edgewood.
Harlandale I.S.D. - Columbia High School and Elementary School
South San I.S.D. - Palo Alto Elementary, South San High School,
Communities in Schools Program
San Antonio I.S.D. - Barkley
Elementary, Cooper Middle School, Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston
Elementary, Irving Elementary, J. T. Brackenridge Elementary, Kelly
Elementary, Knox Elementary, Lanier High School, Storm Elementary,
Green Elementary, Page Middle School, Brackenridge High School,
Poe Middle School and Jefferson High School.
Northeast I.S.D.
- Bradley Middle School, Oak Grove Elementary, Krueger Middle School,
Lee High School, The International School of the Americas and the
Northeast School of the Arts.
