To educate, enrich and entertain the people - especially the children - of the greater San Antonio region by producing and presenting the highest quality performing and visual arts with a goal to promote and enhance the cultural and educational environment of San Antonio. This is achieved by bringing together international, national, regional and local artists and arts organizations in a manner that represents the values of excellence, diversity, accessibility and fiscal responsibility.
  • EDUCATING: ARTS SA delivers hundreds of ARtsTEach participatory arts-education workshops to elementary-school students and seniors in several school districts in a 50-mile radius of San Antonio.
    • These workshops support Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Objectives in Fine Arts, Language Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science and Social Studies.
    • 406 workshops in music, dance, theater, visual arts as well as cultural and literary topics are led by 17 artist-educators and available to schools.
  • ENRICHING: ARTS SA is a catalyst for collaboration among performers, sponsors and community organizations, to create unique cultural opportunities and experiences for San Antonians which include social events, school visits and master classes.
  • ENTERTAINING: ARTS San Antonio presents globally significant solo performers and ensembles including the Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, Julio Iglesias, Vince Gill, Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight!, the Vienna Boys Choir, the Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma and, since 1992, all medalists of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
